What part will algae play in shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture? On 14–15 October 2026, researchers, innovators and industry professionals will gather in Bergen, Norway, to dig into this very question at the Nordic Algae Symposium 2026, co-organised by NORCE Research, INNOAQUA and ALGAESOL.
With growing interest in algae-based solutions, the symposium will present the latest developments in algae physiology, biotechnology and circular bioeconomy applications, spotlighting their potential to drive more resource-efficient aquaculture systems.
Bringing together voices from both academia and industry, the event will look at how new research can be turned into real-world applications, spanning algae cultivation, nutrient recovery, biorefinery concepts and algae-based products. For the Algaesol community, it’s a chance to discover emerging innovations and connect with the stakeholders helping to shape the future of sustainable aquaculture.
