On 17 March 2026, a Clustering Event on Advanced Biofuels brought together around 30 Horizon Europe RIA and IA projects working on advanced biofuels for aviation, maritime, and heavy‑duty transport. Organised by CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, the event created a dedicated space for exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

The ALGAESOL project was represented by its coordinator Dorinde Kleinegris, who took part in discussions focused on recent project results, technical challenges, and emerging synergies across the biofuels community.

The workshop offered:
✔️Platform to exchange knowledge
✔️Discussion on technical challenges
✔️Strengthening of collaboration across the EU research community
✔️Presentation of two key studies on advanced biofuel market uptake – Development of outlook for advanced biofuels and Capacity building for biofuels

By connecting projects, policymakers, and researchers, the event strengthened collaboration and supported the continued advancement of EU research and innovation in advanced biofuels.
